A Charles II needlework panel, finely worked in coloured silks on silk, centred by the figure of Saint Philomena surrounded by animals and flowers including a deer, leopard, parrot, butterfly, mounted on a wooden panel and glazed within an ebonised and gilt frame, old paper lining to verso, the image 22 cm x 18 cm
Silk backing is original as same thread. Some slight discolouration to fabric at top. Minor fraying of fabric in areas, looks stable in frame. Frame is antique. Back is sealed.
