A unique Victorian electroplated Staniforth's Patent biscuit box, the folding sides with foliate engraved decoration and pierced inner linings, on cast crabstock frame: with engraved inscription: 'From Messrs Fenton Brs to Mr W. Staniforth as a Memento of the Success of his Design for this Biscuit Casket. Xmas 1877'; lot includes a photograph of William Staniforth, his Bound Apprentice Indenture (1855), an original page of Fenton Brothers letter-head (1890s) and some later related ephemera.
