An early 19th century Staffordshire china dessert service, finely-painted with floral specimens, fruit and insects with gilt borders and comprising three pairs of graduated comports and eighteen 22.5 cm plates (24)
When viewed under UV light, the low footed bowls show light crazing to the underside. No other damage, and the gilding and decoration are good. Plate edge gilding on 6 plates have losses, 4 have chips to the rims (1 is a large chip, the others are minimal), 2 have tiny surface chips. Decoration is good.
